Scars after laparoscopy
author: cosmetologist Kochetkova Olga
Today, surgical operations using laparoscopy have become very popular. Very tightly entered this method into the practice of surgical gynecology.
What is laparoscopy and how is it conducted?
Since the women of the people are very impressionable, then of course there are so many experiences and worries related to the operation. In addition to the details of the operation itself, the issue of scars after it is very disturbing. All the fair sex want to look irresistible, and you do not want to have scars on your body.
To begin with, let us clarify a bit what is laparoscopy and how it is carried out. Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive surgical operation carried out with the help of special instruments (trocars) through small incisions on the abdominal wall. This method has huge advantages over the usual operation, because the integrity of the abdominal wall is practically not violated, blood loss is minimized, internal organs and tissues remain protected and do not come into contact with the surgeon's hands and additional surgical material (tampons, napkins, clamps) or with the external environment. Therefore, the risk of infection and the development of postoperative adhesions is minimized.
Technique of laparoscopy
For carrying out laparoscopy with gynecological pathology, three sections are made, which more closely resemble a puncture. Their length does not exceed one centimeter. One incision is made just below the navel for the optical trocar, which is the eyes of the surgeon, and two on both sides of the lower abdomen (iliac region), through which trocars are inserted for the actual surgical manipulations that replace the surgeon's hands.
After the operation is finished, the wound is sutured with a special suture with absorbable threads, or clips are applied.
How to care for postoperative sutures
Sutures should be treated daily with iodine or 5% manganese solution. For rapid regeneration and the formation of an inconspicuous scar, it is necessary to smear or do applications with kuriosin on the seams area. Curiosin gel contains zinc hyaluronate, a form of hyaluronic acid synthesized by our fibroblasts, in the presence of which the movement of cells in the wound facilitates the physiological formation of scar tissue. The lack of this substance can lead to disturbances in the course of scarring, resulting in the formation of hypertrophic scars and keloids.
Immediately after the wound is tightened, you can start using contractubecs. This gel contributes to the normalization of the processes occurring in the freshly formed rumen. The final form of the scar depends on many factors, but the main one is the balance between the synthesis of collagen fibers and their lysis. If the process of formation of connective tissue outstrips, then hypertrophic and keloid scars are formed, if, on the contrary, disintegration occurs faster, hypo-and atrophic cicatrices appear.
What to do with the already formed scars?
In the fight against scar changes it is necessary to remember one rule: "the earlier, the better." If you do not miss the time and start correcting the scars in the active phase of formation in time, the better the result. It is impossible to completely remove the scars, do not cherish illusions about this, but it is quite possible to make their appearance aesthetically acceptable. A fresh pink scar is much more easily amenable to correction than the already bleached old one.
Scars from laparoscopy are usually almost invisible to the eye, especially since two of them are out of sight. But, if formed aesthetically not acceptable for you scars, get upset and even more so do not panic.
Hypertrophic and decaying hypotrophic scars are successfully corrected by laser resurfacing or mechanical scarring . Cosmetological salons and clinics offering such services are huge, among them there are those specializing specifically in the treatment of scarring.
Correction of scars
Methods of correction of scars differ depending on their type. Properly assess the type of scar and appoint appropriate treatment can only be an expert in this field. For example, to treat keloid scars with the help of grinding is absolutely impossible, this will only lead to its larger growth. The excision of such scars also does not give a satisfactory result. Therefore, these scars are treated in a completely different way, with the help of pressing dressings and corticosteroids. A hypertrophic scar from a keloid can only be distinguished by a specialist. Slovak Vids: 2:15 I am guessing they measured your neck because of the breathing tube they have inserted in. You wouldn't remember as they usually put the breathing tube down your neck after they put you to sleep. That's also why they look into your throat pre surgeries. BTW you didnt tell us what was your diagnosis?
roopa h: Hey Sarah...I'm really happy that you are getting back to normal being. I got my TLH done on march 20th. My Uterus, cervix and the fallopian tubes are being removed ( via laproscopy). Trust me guys, this procedure is the best and the pain and blood loss is minimal. The first week I had a slight discomfort and especially the bloating stomach and gas that used to pass often and minor spasms. The 13th, 14th and 15th day I experienced slight bleeding too( light brownish discharge) which my gynaecologist said was common. Today, I am feeling a lot better and very close to being normal. Please do not lift anything that is heavy and don't bend down to the floor much. Apart from it, eat lots of vegetables, fruits and adequate liquid. Trust me, your life gets better 😊 I actually had heavy menstral bleeding with heavy clots and a huge fibroid. So, my gynaecologist adviced me to get this procedure done. Now, I'm confident that I will be fine 😊 Good Luck to all you beautiful ladies who are going ahead with this surgery...trust me... everything will be fine...😊👍 Thank you for reading 😊
Cindy K: I had a complete hysterectomy 6 days ago for uterine cancer at Roswell Park. It was done by the Divinci method. I had relatively no pain. I’m a bit bloated and a bit tender. I actually came home the same day. I have 5 small incisions, my husband gives me a tiny injection on alternating sides of my stomach. Believe me, I’m a coward, but I barely feel it. I’m really shocked... I remembered what my mom went through and there is no comparison. Medicine has come a long way. Don’t be afraid, just do it and get it over...
Very often, keloid scars are called colloid scars. Of course this is not true. Most likely, they are connected with chemistry, where there are colloidal solutions. The keloid scar (keloid, from the Greek keleis - tumor and eidos - appearance, similarity) is a tumor-like proliferation of connective tissue fibers. A keloid is a hard scar that projects above the surface of the skin or a scar that rises very sharply above the rest of the skin. It has an irregular shape and, as a rule, gradually increases. Unlike scars, keloids do not disappear with time.
Specialists in laser cosmetology and plastic surgery use laser scars to correct scars of any kind, origin and location, successfully performing even the treatment of keloid cicatrices in and laser removal of scars on the face. By destroying part of the cells in the area of exposure, the laser initiates the process of their recovery by the body, so that the skin again acquires a fresh, healthy appearance, and scars and scars become much less noticeable or disappear altogether.

Pregnancy in the syndrome of polycystic ovaries largely depends on the woman herself. If you want to give birth to a full-fledged child, a woman can undergo not only a course of conservative therapy, but also undergo surgery, and also try a combined treatment. Combination therapy includes conservative treatment before and after surgery.

Laparoscopy of the gallbladder (laparoscopic cholecystectomy) is an endoscopic operation to remove the gallbladder. Laparoscopic examination of the gallbladder is also possible, but it is much less common.
Diagnostic laparoscopy of the cholagogue system can be carried out for oncological suspicions or clarification of the diagnosis of bile duct outflow in the absence of gallstones (eg, adhesive process).

Laparoscopic techniques for carrying out a number of operations have a number of advantages. And first of all, this is a small amount of surgical intervention and a more rapid rehabilitation. In bed, you need to stay for about four hours or up to a day.

Before you start laparoscopy, you need a doctor's consultation. The doctor asks the patient about the concomitant diseases in order to identify contraindications.
